Beamline 4-3 was newly reopened as of 4/6/2009 bringing special capabilities for soft-energy (2.4-6 keV) studies in addition to hard x-rays. Beamline 4-3 now replaces 6-2 as the preferred location for Sulfur K-edge experiments at SSRL. 2018-02-20 · Beam line 7-3 is a wiggler side-station dedicated for x-ray absorption spectroscopy and EXAFS measurements on dilute biological systems. BL7-3 is equipped with a 30-element Ge solid-state detector in addition to ionization chambers and Lytle/PIPS detectors. SSRL Beamline 5-4 UV or x-ray photons are directed onto a sample where they interact with the electrons within the sample, ejecting them into the vacuum. By analyzing these emitted electrons, we can learn about the properties of electrons within the sample.

(Image courtesy of Daniel Harrington.) Last week, X-ray light for the first time streamed into the new Beamline 14-1 hutch at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource. During the hiatus, the entire beamline data acquisition systems at the laboratory have been upgraded and extended to provide a more consistent, capable, and flexible interface to synchrotron users. The photon beam that directly comes out of the beamline is focused to a 150 x 300 micron spot size on the sample, which would improve the spectrum resolution. Beamline Facilities. Our group helps the maintenance of three beamlines, SSRL beamline 5-4, SSRL beamline 5-2 and ALS beamline 10.0.1, respectively.

All SSRL beam lines offer advanced robotics for automated crystal quality screening. X-ray absorption spectroscopy.— X-ray absorption spectra were obtained at beamline 4–3 of the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Light- source (SSRL) and were

For the past five years, the Structural Molecular Biology group at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL) has provided general users of the facility with fully remote access to the macromolecular crystallography beamlines. This was made possible by implementing fully automated beamlines with a flexible control system and an intuitive user interface, and by the development of the OSTI.GOV Conference: New wiggler beam line for SSRL.
